Frequently asked questions

Does Dr. Dobrzynski see exotic animals such as turtles, birds, hamsters, etc?

At this time Dr. Dobrzynski does not see exotic pets.

What is the protocol for requesting refills on prescriptions?

If you are in need of a prescription to be refilled, please give our office a call at 989-684-2625 at least 48 hours in advance to allow time for us to prepare your prescription and/or order more if it is not in stock.

Do you sell licenses at Tri-City Animal Hospital?

No, at this time we do not sell licenses. If you receive a license notification in the mail, our recommendation would be to go to the sender's location in order to obtain your new license.

Do you do payment plans or have alternative payments you accept?

Unfortunately at this time we do not have any payment plans. We do accept Care Credit as a form of payment for your pet's visit. Applications for Care Credit can be completed online from your phone or computer. If approved, you will be notified within minutes and your card number will be sent to your email or can be looked up at the time of your appointment. If using Care Credit, your name MUST be on the card and account with your driver's license present for proof of identification per Care Credit's policy.

What is the importance of recheck appointments?

If after your appointment, the doctor recommends a recheck appointment, it is always a good idea to schedule it at the time of checkout! Recheck appointments, especially for ear & skin problems such as itching, infections, etc. are important because when your pet comes back our doctor will check to see if the infection and/or problem has resolved or if further treatment needs to be done. If this appointment is missed, maybe you think your pet appears to be better but then it flares up again, we are essentially back to square one. The cost for recheck appointments is less than a regular office visit which in turn means that if there is not a recheck appointment scheduled and your pet returns for the same problem, the regular office visit will be charged.

Can I return prescription medications?

Unfortunately once a medication leaves Tri-City Animal Hospital we do not accept refunds or returns. In the interest of public safety and for your pet's safety, state law prohibits use from accepting the return of a prescription drug in whole or in part. We do apologize for the inconvenience!

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice for all cancellations. We do realize that life gets busy and sometimes emergencies and unexpected situations happen, but the sooner you can contact us the better! We will have more flexibility to reschedule with more notice and have to time book the cancelled time for another pet that may need to be seen by the veterinanian. If you cancel without the proper 24 hours notice multiple times or miss an appointment without any notice multiple times, we may require pre-payment for your appointment the next time an appointment is made.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, Care Credit and credit cards are the only forms accepted. All payments must be taken care of in full at the time of checkout. Unfortunately we do not offer payment plans. If using Care Credit, your name MUST be on the card and/or account with your driver's license present for proof of identification per Care Credit's policy. Personal checks will not be accepted.
